New Linctagon Junior range launched

13 March 2013.

For over 10 years South Africans have been relying on the Linctagon range as their first line of defence against respiratory tract infections such as colds and flu.

Now Nativa has launched three products specially formulated to assist children aged as young as one year to get through chills and ills: Linctagon-C Effervescent Junior, Linctagon Viral Defence Junior and Linctagon Throat Lollies.

image 4871. Linctagon-C Effervescent Junior in berry and orange flavours is safe to use on children from one year of age. Its plant sourced antibiotic and anti-viral properties provide infection support associated with colds and flu, and have been shown to speed up recovery time and reduce the severity of sinusitis, tonsillitis and bronchitis. The formulation also provides inflammation and hay fever support. It is suitable for children with diabetes as it doesn’t contain sugar, gluten or lactose.
Linctagon-C Effervescent Junior contains:

• Pelargonium for antibacterial and antiviral properties.
• Bromelain which is used to treat sinus inflammation and can also prevent sinusitis from progressing into bronchitis.
• MSM has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
• Zinc is necessary for a healthy immune system. People who are deficient in zinc tend to be more susceptible to a variety of infections.
• Vitamin A is required for a vast number of biological processes such as vision and cellular growth.

Dosage and directions for use:
Children 1 – 3 years of age. One table dissolved in half a glass of water taken once daily.
Children 4 – 8 years of age. One tablet dissolved in half a glass of water taken twice daily.
Children 9 – 12 years of age. One tablet dissolved in half a glass of water taken three times daily,

image 4862. Linctagon Viral Defence Junior in orange flavour is the second product in the range. It is proposed for use as a supportive part of a preventative or treatment plan for conditions such as support of the immune function, inflammation, infection and free radical support.

It is safe for children from one year of age. As it is in a syrup format it is not suitable for anyone with diabetes. It is free of artificial colourants, tartrazine, caffeine, lactose, gluten or yeast.

Linctagon Viral Defence Junior contains:

• Rose hip which has scientific evidence supporting its antioxidant and immune function properties.
• Echinacea has been used historically for support during infections, influenza, nasal congestion or runny nose, nasopharyngeal catarrh, tonsillitis and whooping cough, as well as an antioxidant.
• Grape seed extract’s efficacy is mainly due to its antioxidant effect. Antioxidants ae necessary to protect our cells, including cells that form part of the immune system.
• B vitamins for antibody formation, necessary for normal cell function, growth and energy production. They are also essential for the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats. Vitamin Bs are also important for the normal functioning of the immune system.
• Vitamin C has antioxidant properties helping to prevent cell damage by neutralizing free radicals.
• Vitamin A is required for a vast number of biological processes such as vision and cellular growth.
• Vitamin D aids in the absorption of calcium
• Due to the antioxidant properties of Vitamin E, it has been proposed for use as a supportive part of a preventative or treatment plan for numerous health conditions, including support of the immune function.

image 4853. Linctagon Throat Lollies provide throat infection support in a format attractive to kids. Each contains menthol oil, zinc, ginger oil and echinacea extract which can all help to build a healthy immune system and may also help to soothe irritated, scratchy and sore throats. Lollies are not suitable for people with diabetes.
In the lollies you will find:

• Pelargonium with antibacterial and antiviral properties.
• Menthol oil to soothe and which can also be effective as an antitussive agent.
• Zinc is necessary for a healthy immune system. People who are deficient in zinc tend to be more susceptible to a variety of infections.
• Ginger oil may assist in reducing inflammation and has antibacterial effects against a range of organisms.
